In recent years, Mongolian National University of Education (MNUE) has enrolled over 700 international students from countries including China, the Republic of Korea, Türkiye, and Japan.
Within the framework of the “Teacher Education and Early Childhood Education” program, a 2+2 joint program has been successfully implemented in collaboration with the Erenhot Teachers College in China. As of the 2024–2025 academic year, a total of 109 international students are enrolled in the 2+2 program at the School of Preschool Education, while more than 70 international students are pursuing master’s degree programs.
In addition, preparatory work is underway to establish a 2+2 joint program with the Moscow Regional Institute of Education in the Russian Federation.
Since 2016, MNUE has been actively implementing a student exchange program in partnership with Gyeongin National University of Education in the Republic of Korea. As part of this initiative, both institutions annually exchange 10 students and 2 faculty members, establishing a sustained tradition of academic collaboration.
Under this program, in 2018, 10 students from the School of Preschool Education at MNUE participated in an exchange program in the Republic of Korea. During their stay, they attended university courses, observed educational practices in schools and kindergartens, and explored historical and cultural sites across the country.
Reciprocally, each year, students and faculty members from Gyeongin National University of Education visit MNUE and its affiliated kindergartens. They engage in joint academic activities and collaborative teaching practices with Mongolian students. This exchange plays a significant role in fostering mutual learning, strengthening academic partnerships, and promoting intercultural understanding between Mongolian and Korean students and faculty members.
