Student Research Conference: “CHILD DEVELOPMENT IN EARLY CHILDHOOD – 2026”

The student research conference entitled “Child Development in Early Childhood – 2026” was successfully organized on April 10, 2026, in collaboration with the Educational Cooperation Society.

The conference was opened with remarks by Dr. B. Munkhzaya, Director of the School of Preschool Education, and Dr. B. Javzandulam, Head of the Department of Child Development. In their speeches, they emphasized the objectives, distinctive features, and relevance of the conference to current trends in preschool education and the research priorities of faculty and students.

A total of 24 research papers submitted by undergraduate students (from first to fourth year) were reviewed, of which 21 were presented. Papers were evaluated by a panel of three faculty judges based on five criteria and thirteen indicators, each scored on a scale of 2 to 5, with a maximum total of 50 points.

Award winners included:

  • First Prize: “A Study on Five-Year-Old Children’s Ability to Express Musical Perception”
  • Second Prize: “A Study on Selected Social Skills of Five-Year-Old Children”
  • Third Prize: “Parental Observation Tools for Identifying Children’s Competencies and Interests: A Pilot Study”
  • Special Awards: Multiple research works on literacy development, student satisfaction, and teacher self-assessment
  • Educational Cooperation Society Award: “The Impact of Smartphone Use on the Development of Five-Year-Old Children”
